All the ice kept melting, and the tequila tasted like Head & Shoulders.

Got a smooth fiberglass wall in the shower? Harbor Freight. Two big suction cups. Put one in 3 months ago. Thing has not budged a millimeter. $7.39 each

Maybe he's trying to tell you, you need to keep one grip on safety while you "wash" your hair .

Yes, two. Most hotels and motels do also.

Yes. Can't tell you how reassuring it is to be able to grab that bar to orient myself when my eyes are full of shampoo. I haven't come close to slipping and falling in there yet, but if I ever do, I'll be damn glad that bar is there to grab. The only drawback is that I occasionally bang my elbow on the darn thing.

Shower falls are among the top few causes of serious injury to people of ALL ages, but much more so as age goes up. Grab bars are cheap, easy to install, and if they prevent even one fall, are priceless. Get a sturdy screw-in model, find a stud, and anchor that baby.

I've got a separate shower from the tub. I don't have a bar in mine. It has two "shelves" it it. I've often used a shelf to steady myself while standing in the shower.

It also has sliding glass doors. I often hold the top rail when getting out.

I may consider getting one of those suction cup bars. Hopefully before I slip and fall!

Not to hijack the thread, but where I'd really like a bar is in the commode roomette. At my age and with my knees, it's a pita getting up after a good "read."

I keep thinking about it. I?m one cheap bastiage so every time I see one in Lowe?s is say to myself ?Self, why pay $20 for one when I can make it myself for $45??

I do want to get one. It?ll make mornings easier.

I would, but I hate warm alcohol just about as much as I hate cold showers...
