I've been stressing. I need to have a 2-3 shingle roof ripped off, planning on installing a steel roof.

There was not enough overhang in various areas. The facia boards front and rear, are rotted. ( My house is a super steep pitched A-frame.) 3 stories tall. I've done roofing in the past. I would not tackle this job.

As well as the facia board problem, various gutter supports have rotted as well, due to the same problem. Various woodwork/replacement will be necessary.

Will be new gutters on two sides. (No gutters front/back.)

It will have to be done this Summer/Fall.

I have the same and the installation was completed last month. The gutters needed replacing last year but it was postponed and my patio (they call them a lanai here in Florida) was awash during most of the Summer rains.

The house faces north, and has a 32' X 7' covered porch. This years winter,Febuary, was brutal. Was getting ice jams, build up on that roof. Had to get up there and clear the gutters and roof edge several times. I discovered that the gutter was placed over the drip edge,NOT behind it. The gutter would drip water from behind it. The previous owner had put a thousand screws of every type and length into the gutter to try and hold it tight to the fascia.

So,I had the gutters replaced, along with the metal fascia panel. They put the new gutters behind the drip edge as should be. Looks great and functions as should.

Next,is to have heat cable installed on that north roof line, and not worry about it again.

I got a new roof and new gutters on the house about 2 months back. Now when it rains I can hear the rain drops hit the gutters. Haven't heard that sound since I bought this house some 20 years ago.
