I log on and conduct my affairs via smart phone...

I believe that twice I have been backing out of GBGD or attempting to shut my phone down and in some fashion accidently reported posts - because I received messages notifying me that Nunn had reviewed "report"...

...at least 4 times. One for each of your WARNINGs.

Not necessarily, just say that you would have to say that the administrators can't catch anything by themselves

Not yet. Most folks here are reasonable and decent.

Wish that could be said for other forums.

    I think it was 2.
    Guess which ones???

Hint: the op's topic was highjacked by our resident keyboard commando fighting with our
    personal link to God member.

I once read somewhere in the rules of these forums to treat each other "like they were guests in each others home".

On some of the child-like fights, if the keyboards had a "LAUNCH MISSILES" button, it would have been used.

The GunBroker forums are among the best on the web. I hope we can keep them that way and improve them everyday. When the new forums had many glitches, I worked { in a small way}, with the web developers to clear them up. Perhaps this has given me {maybe not deserved} a sense of being part of the forums.

"Report this post" is actually a snowflake counter.

One of the most requested features on the old forum was the ability to block specific members. This feature now exists. If you add a member to your foes list, any posts they make will be hidden by default. Give it a try.

    Did not know that.

Adding a member to your list of friends automatically highlights his (or her) posts allowing you quick access to read anything they have to say.

I usually address it at the time in the post and then get banned. Oh well.

Just block the bleeding heart liberals and you won't need to even think about reporting a post. Makes life a lot nicer.

(And) No, I have never "reported" a post. Have no plans on doing so.

But, I found out my post on DEMOCRATs meltdowns over the Alabama abortion law offended someone.

I have a desktop monitor that's bigger than my first B&W TV so I can see what I'm reading and what I'm doing, of course that don't always help.

Yep, I added a couple names the very first day of the new forum. I will add several more if they ever show back up.

You are in no danger of any such events taking place. With 9 years of trouble free posting, I consider you to be among the forums more pleasant members.

Reports are reviewed and most of them aren't acted on. When this is the case, there is no reason for notification.

I remember being shocked when Captain Fun would drag an offending member into the woodshed in full view of the membership. I learned quickly that the open approach is the best approach. If you screw up, you'll hear about it.

You'll learn about being banned when you can no longer log onto the forums. It will say something like Your account has been locked. Contact an Administrator. Don't call us, we'll call you ;) .

If I banned you, your final post will contain this image:

    WHY?

This is a discussion forum and there is the 1st Amendment ~ Freedom of speech.

Once you understand that ... there is nothing more.

If you believe this then you are headed for trouble. This is a private forum which is owned and operated by Gun Broker. Permission to post is granted by GB to registered account holders. Look at the top of the page and you will see a yellow band which states exactly that. Gun Broker says no discussion of abortion, so you won't be talking about it. Gun Broker has a list of words which they don't want you to use...you won't be using those words in this forum. Gun Broker doesn't want the auctions criticized. You will learn to keep negative opinions about how GB runs its auctions to yourself. Some members could not come to grips with this. Their names joined a long list of banned members. Once you understand that ... there is nothing more.
