You are thinking back to the good old days. Back when you paid $40 and you got 6 carfax reports.
And I posted on here, several times, that I had used 4 reports and would do 2 more reports for free for my GB Forum buddies.
And lots of other guys did it too.

I guess Carfax got wise to it because now, it is $40 for a single report.

However, I just looked it up on vehiclehistory.com This web site is free.
    Toyota Tundra, right?

It is on a junk title. Salvage title.

Now I know why they didn't include a carfax.

Many thanks. That explains the good price.

Isn't it a crime to sell an auto without disclosing that it has a salvage title ? It maybe different in each state.

How would any one buy a car unless they see a title??? The salvage title will say it's salvaged and IF rebuilt, after a DMV inspection a new "repaired/rebuilt salvage" title may be issued by the state's DMV. BUT it will still have the word "salvage" on the title.

A backyard rebuild without DMW inspection is bad Ju-ju, don't do it unless you are getting a great deal on something special and you are willing to fix and go the whole route with.

An non- inspected salvage car usually will NOT be insured by any proper insurance company.

That truck was declared totalled in Texas on Oct. 23 2017. Hurricane Harvey hit Texas on August 30 2017. Harvey was a real bad storm and thousands of vehicles got flooded.
I wonder if this truck got destroyed by Hurricane Harvey.
