Motel/Hotel Security

My wife had day surgery in Little Rock, AR Tuesday, and we stayed at a nearby motel overnight, in case she had any problems post-op. About 9:30 after we had lain down for the night, someone knocked on our door. I got up, armed myself with my 9mm, and looked out the peephole, and there was a young man with a backpack. I asked him through the door what he wanted, but he just knocked louder . I pushed the curtain aside and tapped on the window with the Ruger with the laser on so he could see it. He suddenly realized that he was needed somewhere else! :D I called the desk to report it, and they called back to let me know that the police located the man, and that he was staying there, but was a bit drunk, and had come to our room by mistake. Lucky drunk!!!! I never answer the door at night unarmed, and even during the day if I can't ID the person.

    When at a different gun show.Every week end a different hotel. I carry my 45 acp. Only had one place that was worried all night. never booked at a low rate hotel again. Seams like the bottom end places are the ones we have to really watch. Use the dead bolts an I carry a simple old wooden wedge that is placed at bottom of door just in case.

    Not really, I just "accidently" allowed him to see the green laser lighting up the window sill! :D

    Of course with all the PC correct BS going on these days, he may have took you up on the offer :o:o

    I work part time at a hotel and it happens occasionally where some drifter will come in the hotel and try entering the rooms. How ever you can't get in with out a pass key card. We've had a lot of problems with breaking into cars the last couple of years and that season is just about ready to start.
