Saw it on CBS, I think.

    No information.

Pretty much the entire story was 'Raid on LA home nets lots of guns'.

    What was presented, however was:

Look at the pictures of evil guns.

You should be afraid that there a people who own so many evil guns.

There is no reason someone should have so many evil guns.

On the plus side, however, the story was helpful in showing the wife that at 120 or so, my accumulation is fairly small taters.

They are going to need that ammo for the cop in "High Speed" Pursuit who ran out of ammo shooting at a car while chasing it

Soooooo, are they illegal ??? Guy with deep pockets "HAD" a nice collection. Was he getting ready to shoot up California, hell, it would take several trailer loads of ammo just to feed all of those.

Here's a bit more info and video.

For the most part standard type pistols, shotguns and rifles.
    A few AR and Ak's
Looks like there were some illegal sales from the home, that prompted the search.

Well, that's newsworthy, to the anti people. They have them stacked up like wood. IF he gets them back they will all be damaged, rusty, mags missing ect. Don't know the details but this is where SOME law enforcement and I disagree on. They, media and LA law are making a field day of this SIMPLY because he owned many. So what,,,If you own 200 cars that go over the speed limit, is that SCARY?

I'm calling BS on that tho. My guess is they made a few sales and the ATF decided it was "one too many".

Too bad they have to lead with "OMG police found so many guns in this guys house"

But I guess that is the world we live in now.

I'd much rather they specify which law was broken (if any) and how the authorities came to know this. But that would be actual journalism and that is pretty much dead these days.

Right SpiceTac but where's the drama in that. Those pics draw a much larger audience than the facts. If owning a large number of firearms and ammo is against the law, I (I mean a friend) should be on death row.

all I have heard they will run all th eseral numbers for stolen or guns possibly used in a crime
no laws have been posted he broke I have seen
but I will guess like a old fellow neighbor a few years ago they came in on his house like ducks on a june bug got him for gun dealing / selling with out a licenses took all his guns I think around 200 and his cash ( about 90K )most was his wife's death insurance payment ) after months of lawyers and court dates they gave his money back kept the guns and he is on on probation rest of life for the most part never allowed to own a gun again he is 82 now was in his 70"s when the busted him
they decided it was a live long hobby that just grew out of hand

He is not being charged with any Federal crimes, Allegation seems to be "making" ARs that violate California laws (and not registering them as required by State law). Also that he sold a CA non-compliant gun that he built.

If they get him for that they have a felony, and his right to possess a single shot .22 just went away. What was probably a hobby has likely just cost him a million $$$ worth of firearms- and a LOT of grief.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the story was Jay Leno. Why does anyone NEED so many cars? Just think how dangerous many of his cars are.
