Resisted the Temptation.
Was way Jonesing for some Taco's on the way home.
Decided to forego that, and stop off at the Chinese Buffet. (Much better deal, $3.99/lb for "lunch.") [3:30 pm qualifies.] About 3-4 pounds of food for about $16.
Broccoli and Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, steamed/olive oil sauteed green beens, Thai Chicken, Korean Chicken, Egg rolls, Teriyaki Chicken Kabobs, at least one pound of Pepper Shrimp. Etc.
I make my own Rice when I get home. (Why would I pay $3.99/lb for rice?)
Dinner tonight. Lunch tommorrow, dinner tomorrow night easy. Perhaps lunch the next day. (Excellent deal.)

I know what you mean about temptation, Ken. Last weekend, I left the house to go check the mail, only to discover a yard sale just down the street. Thought what the hell, I'll stop on the way by. Hadn't really planned on buying anything. I walk across the yard, only to find a couple trunks full of MRE mains, accessories, and piles of once-fired brass. 4 one-gallon zip lock bags full of LC14 5.56 brass for a buck a bag, and more MRE stuff than I could carry in one trip, so I made two or three. Think I ended up spending 20 bucks total.
The body was weak, and so was the spirit. Mmmm, decade-old jalapeno cheese spread.

I'd have popped on the MRE stuff, also. Good score.0 -

This is where the "fortune cookie" where the paper reads "that wasn't Chinese you had" tells the truth

Yes.
(And) Mountain City, TN. Chinese is even more different.
We are lucky to have them. They have expanded several times. Changed Owners once in the last 6-7 years I have been down here. Japanese/Family owned both times.
As I said to the female owner when she rang me up. (I am a once a week regular, so she chats me up.) "Best Food Deal in Town." Where else can you walk in/walk out within 5-10 minutes, get pretty much whatever you want (variety wise) and spend about $15-16 for 3-4 lbs of prepared food? (Not to mention getting a pound of lightly breaded [Tempura?] whole shrimp for $3.99/lb.)
As I have said, for a little Extreme NE TN. town in the sticks, we are lucky to have them.
They get a ton of local repeat business.0
