My Trip To NYC
The wife and i had a good time. I would like to go again and stay longer.
We took a boat ride to see the statue of liberty. We walked through central park and saw the 9-11 memorial. We saw Trumps building and the new trade center.
We took a bus tour and they drove you around showing this building and that and explaining about the area.
We ate ate some great restaurants, food trucks and vendors.
My wife would not take the subway. She was scared of getting lost. I told her if we get lost just get a cab and it will take us to where we want to go. She still would not do it.
People looked at me like i was crazy when i held the door open for people. I never heard anyone except me say thank you or yes mamm or no mamm.
I asked a lady for directions and i scared her to death.
They are some special people. LOL

When I went in 1991, everybody there was so kind and polite. Everybody help the door open for everybody else. It was completely different than what I expected and I really enjoyed being there
Like I said that was in 1991 not 2019, a lot can change.
I remember my wife and I decided to go out to some clubs one night and we got there about 8 ish, the place was completely dead. I'm sitting here what the heck it's supposed to be one of the hottest spots in New York. Come to find out nobody goes to the club's till after midnight

NYC would be the last place on earth I would want to live or visit. 0 -
There are some great art museums there I would dearly love to see, but I hate the idea of spending money in anyplace under Cuomo's jurisdiction. 0 -
The subway is the best way to get around NYC. 0 -
Same deal in DC. A friend's son just got promoted to Major, assigned in DC for 2-3 years. He turned his car over to his parents, saying he could get around just fine on Metro, Uber, and shoe leather, saving huge parking costs and traffic stress. 0 -
NYC is a cool trip. you made the right choice. The DC metro subway is a better choice the rubber wheels are way kinder on the ears then the steel wheels of the NYC subway schreechers...
Central Park and the Statue of Liberty are some great things to see. The circle line cruise around the island of Manhattan is a nice tour. Best leave your car behind and not deal with the crazy drivers and parking tickets.0 -
"Can you tell me how to find the Statue of Liberty?"
