A lot of times faulty wiring can look like missile tracks.

Interesting point on that, in this film. The only wiring into anywhere near the fuel tank had less than 120mv and couldn't light anything on fire if it wanted. But the CIA video explained all that when they showed how planes defy physics when the nose of the plane comes off.

I don't believe the FBI. I saw interviews with several witnesses, a half dozen or so, who saw a missile streak upwards and hit that plane. And one of them was a guy who had flown fighter jets and had fired missiles and he knew what he was talking about.

No, I don't trust the FBI. And all that has come up about the shenanigans that FBI director Comey pulled to try to take out Trump, I trust them a lot less now than I used to.

There were about 700 eyewitnesses whose testimony nearly all agreed 100%. The FBI interviewed nearly 700 people who saw something.

Not one was ever allowed to testify to congress until after the investigation had been closed.

    Sounds about right.

I went to NY and picked up a car after the incident. Man that owned it was a commercial pilot. He said a friend of his worked for the Feds. They found residue from a missile on a seat cushion. Positive that a missile hit the plane because they flew thru a Navy zone. The theory of the fuel tank and electrical is interesting. However it had never happened to any other planes. But I do recall they did some sort of investigation of the other planes to see if they were safe. My guess it the plane was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Had it left the airport on time the incident would have never happened.

When I was an FFL in VA one of my customer's wife was an investigator on this. I took my real job team to the NTSB site and toured the reconstructed plane. Man that thing is huge. You never get the real feel when you're boarding / a passenger. We got to walk around, under and in the visitor section. She also gave a 1 hour presentation. Her / their take was the fuel explosion. But since gen I've heard all kinds of rumors.

But the tour of the plane was awesome.
