    Lighting angles bad.
    Not too proud.
    The gold accent and angle of light shows a "black" shadow.
    See pic #6= looks good

    See the teepot"s spout looks to be twice as long???

    It sure looks proud to me after magnifying the pictures, don't see how light could raise wood like that on the edges and corners with those angles in photo's 18 and 24.

    Look at pic #3....now it looks good on top and proud on bottom.
    Light is coming down onto the top in #3 and up in your proud #' pics.

    Light doesn't raise wood...wth kind of statement is that????

    Well hell, I would assume since your being so technical minded playing with your tea pot you should've known that I meant the "image" of the wood was raised, I was wrong........Did the lighting make your tea pot spout longer ? :lol:

    Highly embellished shotguns - including matched pairs or sets have always represented a significant fraction of the engraving and embellishments arts.

    I have a friend who was close with Mr. Bee some time ago, and he has about 30 pieces of his work. Nothing that I've personally seen has been that way.

    Pic #6, absolutely, and is one of the more obvious areas where it's proud. While it isn't quite as noticeable in #9, you can see it.
