Mobile car wash

Ran across a mobile car wash couple (man and wife) on Nextdoor with excellent recommendations so I gave them a call. They hand washed, interior wipe down, vacuumed, clean window's interior, towel dried and applied tire shine to both of our cars for $25 per car. Did an excellent job. I supplied nothing. Well worth the price and will use them again.

    When I was visiting Dallas, I parked in a parking garage and noticed one of those mobile car wash and detail trucks. They had a spot set up in the garage and were running peoples cars back and forth between their spaces. Guess the business people drop off the keys when they park in the morning. The crew of two was making a killing.

    I?d happily pay $25 for a truck cleaning as described.
    After my garage build,I pay $10 to have my lawn mowed.
    Not worth my time or effort for $10.
    I?d happily mow and pay the $10 just for the weed eating
    His business so I don?t complain

    I feel the same way.

    That's why I bought some 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" drill bits, a bunch of rat tail files, and some
    needle files.

    I'm making my own rifle barrels for my target guns.......

    I sold a set of side steps to a fire fighter that runs a car washing business in his off hours. He picked up a buddies used car lot as a customer. All he does is clean up, exterior wash and interior clean up, no waxing or detailing and he made $30K last year. Folks leave their cars at his house on his
    days off, he washes and does interiors until 5pm then he's done for he day.

    Here in the desert car washes are required to process gray water and recycle. Drive way car washes are discouraged if not prosecuted, because the detergent laden water goes to storm sewers and ends up in the river. $25 is about 3x what I pay.

    If you've not tried one in the last few years you might want to. I'm talking about the latest in automatic car washes. Not the kind that's outback of a gas station or the touch less ones but one of the big ones that tows your car though a lot of different stages including undercarriage cleaning. They won't leave swirls on your paint job like they did in the old days and the wax they use actually works. It also shines the tires. In the old days you wouldn't catch me in a auto wash with one of my cars but I can't clean one by hand any better today.

    There's one of those washes near my house and I have a sticker on my windshield and for $30 bucks a month I can have my car washed as many times as I want. Just drive up to the place and the gate opens automatically with the sticker.

    When I go to the store or I'm on my way home from some where I just stop off and run my car though the wash. I do that rather than just cleaning my windshield if I have some bugs on it or if the car is a little dusty.

    My car dealer is building one of the large ones right now and I am hoping at the Grand Opening they'll be offering a good deal on a monthly membership. My TDS is too high where I live, and once softened it's too high in salt content to get a get wash for my vehicles.
