Any John Deere Mechanics Here?

I need to change the hydraulic oil and filter on my JD 755 compact tractor.I know where the spin on filter is but from what I understand there is a suction screen filter in the system that needs to be removed and cleaned while the oil is drained.Any body know the location of the removable screen? I know Perry Shooter worked at John Deere and gave pretty good advice but there was someone else,and I cant remember who, was a good mechanic when it came to strange problems.

  # 24 in the parts schematic is your suction strainer. Looks like it is right behind the transaxle drain.

  Yep! 24 is it. IIRC, you'll have to pull your draw bar pin (on bigger tractors anyway), drain oil, and remove a large hex plug to remove screen. Ours often get plugged with clutch and brake friction material.
