Ad Blocker for Firefox

I've been using Adblocker Plus for years but today Firefox sent me a message that it won't accept that extension anymore. I'm looking for a replacement. Any thoughts guys?

    CORRECTION===== BEEN USING ADBLOCKER ULTIMATE.

    ADBLOCKER PLUS IS THE OLD ADD-ON.

    GO GET THE ULTIMATE

    No such email.

    It's a glitch. Firefox is working on it and it will probably be fixed. I have both Adblocker Plus and FeedBro on both my laptop and my desktop.
    The laptop lost both last night. They never slowed up on the desktop. Both running Windows 7 and Firefox.

    I have found that uBlock Origin is superior,....IMHO anyway.

    The problem is with an expired digital certificate.

    To let the certificate update, go to options/privacy & security and scroll down to data collection and use. Check the box for 'Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla', and 'Allow Firefox to install and run studies' at least temporarily.

    The certificate will update, and your extensions will work again. Disable the above features afterward if desired.

    Thank you very much, Mark. Within about 1.5 minutes all my previously blocked programs were activated again after following your advice. I was almost ready to go back to IE :o :shock:.

    I tried telling firefox it was ok per instructions above, no dice. So I've tried downloading new ad blocking and every time I get an error - "Firefox couldn't add this because the program appears corrupt."

    Using XP Pro on my desk top

    I'd strongly recommend uBlock Origin, but am not sure it would run on an OS almost older than rotary phones. (And leakier than Gilligan's SS Minnow, too.)

    I own a rotary phone and if I hadn't got a virus I'd probably still be running Windows ME on the first computer I ever owned.
