It's a good thing for you that it's not set up to receive phone calls. Could you imagine letting them know you're phone number? It wouldn't have turned out very well for you I'm sure.

Sure you would have gave them a piece of your mind, but in return, with that information they would have took a piece of your gold mine... or every penny of it

I heard on the radio the FBI wants you to call them with the scammers number, they are working to catch these scum.

Please make your Check out to: Bruce Postlethwait in the amount of $5,532.91, that will prevent your incarceration and clear the matter nicely...

That's funny. I read this thread about 5 minutes ago and I just got a call from the Social Security office telling me they're taking legal action for some BS. I didn't even bother listening to the whole message.

Evidently there are people that fall for this stuff.

    I'm not far from Dickson.
Send me $1000 in cash and I'll go directly there and pay them and refund any money left.

My girlfriend has 5 rental houses. We were advertising in craig*list. Every time we put a house up for rent, we would get a response, always email even though the ad said "Phone call only DO NOT email."

And it was always written in a funny old time English the type of which is spoken in Nigeria.

"Dear Sir. I am moving with my beloved child to Asheville NC in one month's time. If it meets with your agreement, I shall mail you a bank cheque for $6,0000 {Six Thousand US Dollars}. Please to deposit this in your bank.
This will cover the rent and deposit which are $3,000. My associate will come by in two weeks time to recover the remainder of the funds from you as this is to pay for my moving van. Thank you blessed sir."

I guess people fall for this crap.

We now post ads on Zillow and haven't heard from the scammers in years.
