Henry rifles just added a side gate
One of my biggest complaints of Henry rifles was the lack of the loading gate looks like they have now addressed that issue I may have to get one in 38-55

Hmmm, that looks pretty good with the gate. Guessing 800? plus retail. 0 -
never was a big issue with me, I liked the idea of pulling the magazine tube rod to unload, instead of having to lever out every shell, am glad they kept that feature. I had 357 and it held like 11, 38's without the rod that was a lot of levering to unload... 0 -
I am very happy with Henry in general. They make great firearms. 0 -
My Marlin 1894 .357 would kill/pinch/eat away my thumb while loading, I know there is another way to load it but I never liked pushing a primer with another bullet so I sold it outright......I like the tube loading function better myself. Will also say the gated rifles do look better, they should sell zillions of them

+1
I have a 22 with a black finish and its a nice slick little lever gun, not as nice as my Browning BL-22 but its nice. The Gold/Brass really puts me off.
The big bore guns without the Nelson King invented loading gate just look wrong to me. Call me old fashioned and I guess I am. One thing that amazes me is how expensive their SS Shotgun is. I cannot see it costing that much for a SS Shotgun unless its some specialized trap gun like a BT-99.0
