Minnow killer
Something got in my boathouse and bit the heads off all my minnows? What am I dealing with, a mink, a cat, or maybe an ermine? Next night ate all the bodies which I hadnt cleaned up. Nothing since.

snakes don't eat heads off things, they swallow them whole. Look to a mammal, likely raccoon. Owls do that but not to minnows. 0 -

Snakes are one of the few things that watch the eyes of their prey. I've seen many small
fish de-headed by water snakes in my pond.0 -
EEL. They do it all the time in my traps. 0 -
I cant believe a snake would catch them all out of a five gallon pail full of water? Im betting on a mink. 0 -
Oh now you tell us about the 5 gal bucket.

Sorry, guess I took it for granted that everyone kept minnows in a bucket. 0 -

Just funning with you.
But all kidding aside, when I read "boathouse" {lucky you!!}, I envisioned a boathouse my fishing friend had.....His minnow tank was a 55 gal fish tank with all kinds of air-rators, feeders, lites.
He did go over board on most things he did!!0
