Attempting to Shop, Southern Style -

Stopped off at the small local (about 5 miles away,) small convenience store/gas station. It sells Non-Ethanol Premium. It's what I use in my lawn mowers, Chain Saws etc.


After attempting about 4-5 tries at pumping some gas into my gas cans with no success, (Insert card, withdraw quickly, enter Zip code, select grade, begin pumping.) I went inside. "Is pump #8 down?" "Why No Sugar, pump #8 is working just fine." "Well after repeated attempts, I am getting nothing." "Have you hit Cancel?" " "No, why would I hit Cancel, when I am trying to buy gas?"


"Well, hit Cancel, and then try again." (Okay.) After about 2-3 more attempts to pump gas to no avail, I go back inside. "Hit Cancel, then hit Pay inside." Okay. Try this to no avail, about 3-4 times.


Go back inside, explain No Joy. " Why Honey are you trying to pump Premium?"

"Yes."

"Well Honey, we are out of Premium." (No signs anywhere.) Takes hand, slaps forhead, leaves.

    No,..............No,..............No,.............If you have to "Gum" something, you want a Burrito. :D





    Stopped back in this evening on the way home. Went inside the store to inquire prior to wasting my time. Same Female clerk there. When I entered, she said - "We received a shipment of Premium today, Sweetheart." :D

    Filled up two small cans, (maybe 2 1/2- 3 gallons total.) only $9.50! :o :roll: :D
