What's your favorite ice cream
Other than at my grandkids birthday parties, I don't eat ice cream except for maybe once or twice a year.
But when I do it's got to be pralines and cream. Or a chocolate malt, not a shake, but a malt
Edit:
Please don't use vanilla and say because you can add anything to it. Because it's no longer just vanilla when you add something to it

I will have to go with briers and butter pecan . until I find one I like better ( better brand local ) vanilla would be a close second because I can add what ever flavor or toppings I want
I get the craving to eat ice cream or a even a type of cookie , or candy last a week or so then it may be months before I go back to them0 -
praline pecan
Apple pie
blue moon
we've got Ted Drewes frozen custard, people like it so much when the store closed for repairs and re-opened the newspaper had to make a public service announcement

I don't eat ice cream. More of a donut or pastry guy that loves pie. I hold off on that stuff too.
If I were to eat ice cream tonight, based on what I think might taste good from memories of years ago, a quality vanilla, because you can make it into alot of things, and then adding orange soda sounds really good.
Malts with vanilla are real delicious, root beer floats yummy, but tonight, the orange just sounds a bit refreshing after it reached 90? today and 96? yesterday.0 -

Love your avatar. One might think pistachio would be your favorite, being green and all
I get it now, Greenwoods vanilla lol0 -
Vanilla bean is the go to classic...
Plain old chocolate would be next for me...
The split or mix or combo of the two has an appeal.
Traditional ice cream served in a small deep bowl and consumed with a spoon is the method.
Soft serve ice cream from a dispenser in a cone with Jimmie's - often served upside down in a cup or bowl is a treat in and of itself.
Again I go vanilla and standard cone - rainbow Jimmie's.
Still like Dixie cups - have not seen a wooden spoon attached to the lid in quite some time.
Bryers and Hagen daas would be my primary for traditional - holiday soft ice cream is a local tradition...
I have been known to throw a handful of m&m's on my bowl of ice cream.
