Ironically, Arkansas is the host state of the first Gun Control Act, in 1934....and if memory serves me correct, it was about some poor soul that had a shotgun that was too short for the King, and he couldn't afford a lawyer to fight it.

I tried that once too with a different industry....the same results, now that piece of land is priceless   ......now days they (companies) want the taxpayers to float bonds to furnish the land, new building, paving, utilities, etc. etc.....as in "free" with no financial obligations to themselves (sports affiliates and their new stadiums are the worst con jobs) and politicians fall for this crap and sign on to it.........never had anyone "set" me up without obligations  .

When Obama was elected the entire state assembly was a DEMOCRAT supermajority. All 4 congressman and senators were DEMOCRATs as well. As typical of states with DEMOCRAT governance, AR was high on the list to states with poor business climate due to oppressive regulations and extremely high taxes. AR was an agrarian/service economy. Growth was practically nil.

The 2010 and 2012 elections purged the socialists and the entire state became solid GOP. As typical of states with GOP majorities, not only has there been a number of pro 2A laws passed, but taxes are being reduced exponentially. Under DEMOCRAT, control AR had one of the highest corps taxes. GOP substantially reduced them.

Arkansans have seen substantial reductions and terminations of oppressive regulations from years of DEMOCRAT power. Income taxes have been reduced substantially and the state also eliminated income taxes imposed by DEMOCRATS on retired military. Governor Hutchison and the GOP assembly is promising more tax reductions
