It's still pretty cheap. Maybe because it's not deer season???
Around these parts that gun gets $400 to $425 any day.

    A terrific bargain.

Some folk don't comprehend that many older vintage guns are better made from superior materials under much tighter quality control and in fact are better made and more durable and accurate...

For example older marlins with micro groove rifling are just plain better than the latest current production pieces put together as cheap as possible often discarding innovative features or design architecture as a profit boosting measure...

So the older pre-owned used vintage piece with some honest wear and handling marks are better overall than many brand new guns.

But most of you were aware of that.

I won't trade my older Marlin 336 {.35rem} for 2 of the new guns.
When friends pick up my gun then look at the gun they just bought from Wallyworld or some place like that, They see and feel the difference and shake their heads.
I bought mine 336 in 1974 and expect it to be taking deer in 2074.

    Yup.
Most of these old guns have another 2-3 generations of use still in them.
    Far superior in my opinion.
I have little use for most new junk being made.......
