Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris Burned Down
On all the news. Going to be a total loss after standing there for almost a thousand years.

You're correct. Very interesting coincidence.
It's getting to the point worldwide where Christians are being persecuted.0 -
One YouTubers thoughts on the fire, trying hard to keep the video from being demonetized.

C&P
ISIS fanatics are heartlessly revelling in the inferno at Notre Dame Cathedral just days before Easter calling it 'retribution and punishment', according to terror intelligence researchers.
A poster of the blazing cathedral appeared online accompanied by the words, 'Have a good day,' and was created by the ISIS affiliated Al-Muntasir group according to the Terrorism Research & Analysis Consortium.
The poster says: 'Its construction began in the year 1163 and ended in 1345. It's time to say goodbye to your oratory polytheism.'
The jihadists referred to the catastrophe as 'retribution and punishment,' SITE intelligence reported.
The chilling message appeared as firefighters continued their efforts to put out the blaze late on Monday night, which broke out less than a week before Easter and amid Holy Week commemorations.0 -

Wouldn't surprise me at all. DEMOCRAT media are full of sympathists. Last time I was in Paris, It reminded me of Iraq.
Even if by chance it was an accident, DEMOCRATs with their open borders and mass immigration dogma, are leading France as well as most of Western Europe toward certain self destruction.
Interesting coincidence.

No surprise at all. Of course all such violence coincides with Easter, but never expect activists in the media to put one and one together. DEMOCRAT controlled media as expected is already defending "The Religion of Peace".
Perhaps more information will surface, but don't expect real news from the major networks and wire services.o0 -
Only the French would declare the fire was not an act of vandalism or terrorism long before the fire was put out. Then again, France has welcomed so many Muslims they almost own the country and has lead to this:

10 to 12 French churches have suffered damage from fire and other destruction this week alone. I would hardly call that "conspiracy based on nothing but suspicion".

This magnificent building has stood for 800 years, has survived world wars and revolutions. And yet, in the middle of this Muslim invasion, in the middle of the most holy week for Christians, it burns to the ground.
Muslims have often stated that they hate Western civilization, and they hate Christians. They took down the World Trade Center, the symbol, and the center of, Western capitalism.
So now, the second most revered building in Christianity is burned to the ground.
The Paris police chief said that the fire is an "accident" and "not a crime." Then he said he has no idea how it started.
It is a rigged investigation from the start. If you are not looking for a crime you surely won't find one. In France today, you are a racist if you even consider the idea that a Muslim burned the cathedral.
So sad, to see the demise of a once-great country.
Well said Allen.
The fact that Liberals here, can not see the outcome of unregulated Immigration of those not wishing/having any desire to assimilate, is simply astounding. "Stupid is, as Stupid does."0 -
It's not that they can't see things for what they are Ken, it's that they won't/choose not to see the reality. 0 -
The French will struggle to find enough oak to restore the woodwork. It took one tree per beam on some . 0 -

I heard on the radio this morning, that "the woodwork could never be replicated, as the size of the trees cut in the 1200's are no longer available." Made sense to me.0 -

So horrible to watch the massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!
The freaking news outlets etc. are demonizing DJT for this, you have to go look at how they are reacting, so amazing the hysteria he creates.0 -
Yeah, the Libs today were laughing at President Trump for offering "unsolicited advice." They said that French officials said that dropping water from tankers would make the roof collapse.
So the roof collapsed anyway. Makes Trump look pretty smart.
If you dropped the water from a height it would just be like a big rain shower. I would imagine that, water dropped from a tanker from 1,000 feet would disperse pretty well. If not that, from 2,000 feet.
I had a forest fire near my house and they fire crews sent choppers, they filled up in the French Broad River right next to my house and they dropped serious water on that fire and put it out. And the French can't load up a chopper from the River Seine?
Looks like the French fire dept. screwed up. They had an alarm at the cathedral and responded. And they reported that "there was no fire."
Got a second alarm 24 minutes later and then they discovered the fire.
What a screw-up. If they first responders had any brains, they could have put out the initial fire with a fire extinguisher.
This is a liberal, socialist, really screwed up country.0 -
So, you are saying that water dropped from a chopper would have caused the roof to collapse? Hell, I don't know, I am a truck driver I only saw it used on a forest fire. 0 -
I understand it is a considerable weight of water, and if it were not, it would not work.
But if you dropped it from 2,000 feet would it not disperse, and hit like a rainstorm?0 -
Interesting how before the fire was even extinguished, the French authorities were already announcing that it was an accident with absolutely no arson investigation. And I suppose it was also purely coincidental that it happened on Christian's Holy Week. 0 -
truthful you hit the nail on the head. Before the fire was out, authorities announced it was not terrorism, but an accident.
They didn't know what they were talking about, but, you can see a police investigation with a big politically correct agenda.
And, it happened during the holiest week of the Christians. What a coincidence. Plus, supposedly, the crews were not even working this week.0 -

Nope, just the opposite. A helicopter with a water bucket or "dipper" may have been applied and helped save a bit more. The wooden structure was already blazing, so it was going down regardless. A water bomber would have delivered the equivalent of tonnage of water, concentrated in a large splash so to speak, which would have had the energy to take the entire Cathedral to the ground in rubble. The aircraft can only slow down so much, but volume equals weight and mass together on a drop. It would not have worked.
Jim
You assume that the fire fighters are morons and dropping it in one big azz drop. Sorry charlie, water can be controlled quite easily. And yes, if you fill a hot air balloon full of water (or equivalent) it's going to destroy things. The higher it is dropped from the more time it has to dissipate into smaller droplets or even mist. I don't know if the tankers can regulate or to what amount they can regulate the flow, but surely they would be useless even on a forest fire if they couldn't aim and dispense to some degree. Even a moron like me can figure that out.
The argument is similar to not letting them use a fire hose, because the pressure would knock it down. They are trained professionals for goodness sakes, those comments about Trumps suggestion are just political hack jobs. Their ignorance shines brightly.0 -
The reason the French Authorities were quick to rule out terrorism is because there hasn't been any terrorism in France.

Maybe a few months ago there was this:Just last month the second largest church in Paris was damaged by fire, which police have said was deliberately started. Dramatic images from the scene showed flames pouring out of a ?massive? porch door and stained glass window, although fortunately the Paris Pompiers were able to put out the blaze before it spread to the rest of the building.

Humm, seems there have been quite a few incidents but NOT TERRORISTS, just troubled immigrants. :roll:0
