I've heard a lot of good things about CBD. It's supposed for help a lot for pain management. I tried it for my neuropathy but didn't notice any improvement. I probably didn't use the correct dose.GreatGuns wrote:It's suppose to be infused with CBD's, which does not get you high in any way. Might as well be putting vitamins in the meat.

It's nice to hear you're open to it. I was a tough sell, but it's worked well for me. As to dosage, it's rather like the nerve med gabapentin (sp?) where you need to determine your proper dosage by starting at the lowest level and work your way up to relief. I had decompression surgery due to loosing the feelings in both hands. Not all that great for a professional chef to not be able to safely use his knives, or hold pans and not drop stuff due to lack of sensitivity, etc.. CBD gives me relief without any other "affects." What I use is extracted from hemp. If extracted from marijuana it will still have trace THC which will show on a drug screen. Even so, at 68 and calling my own shots, I don't have to worry about someone requiring me to do a drug test for employment. Please consider giving it another try, but speak with someone knowledgeable about the two different strain extracts first. One is calming, the other is almost uplifting to help get you through the day. I hope you benefit from it too.

Thanks Jim... yep, I tried gabapentin twice. All the way up to 900mg twice per day. Didn't help either time. And I'm kinda glad as gabapentin is supposed to be addictive or some such.
As a young man, I consumed my fair share of CBD in herbal form. Had to stop when they started drug testing us. And actually glad I did. At 63 and retired, I've no issue whatsoever with having to endure drug testing. It'll be a while before they even consider drug testing for seniors to get SS!
I'd been on Metanx for about 9 months with little relief as well. Way expensive and not helping.
I just started taking Benfotiamine 300mg twice per day. I don't know if it's all my mind _wanting_ it to work, or actually helping, but my feet don't hurt as much. They still have tingling and some pain but "different" and nowhere near the pain. So, I'm hoping that this has long term benefit.
If the Benfotiamine doesn't work out I'll definitely look back into CBD oils again!0 -
