Once, I had some friends that went through the police academy and talked me into volunteering one day. Only to find out when I got there they were going to demonstrate the taser. I told the instructor if he shot that, when I was able to get up I would make sure that he wouldn't be able to eat solid food for the rest of his life... 0 -

when I was 16 the grocery store I worked t decided to hire rent a cops . we seemed to get the best :? of the group that had to offer

one day one of the younger guys ( who was always showing off his pistol and talking crap
I was telling him I had never been maced and wondered what it was like . so a deal was made so he agreed so I was sprayed in the face and arms . not the best place to be doing such a dumb ass thing we had the store smelling like pepper spray the rest of the day . every one kep asking whats that smell ... when two dummies meet its never good :oops: :oops:
if he had a taser back then ( 1974 or so ) I would have gave it a try also

I have two friends who were long time cops. One is retired now and the other is the Chief in our small town. When they took taser training, they both volunteered for the ride, to see if/how it worked. They were both, OMG it was horrible, etc. I told them they were both stupid, electricity and its effects have been well documented for some time.
I asked them while we were turkey hunting if they'd like me to shoot them in the ass with my shotgun so they could determine if their riot guns would work too.

This thread reminded me of a guy I knew through working on race cars long ago.
He was a big guy and would be in and out of jail for stuff where he just couldnt get out of his own way. No violence or even theft, things like drunk in public, driving on a suspended license etc.
Well the last time I ever talked to this dude he?s telling me he was on probation and ends up drunk in a 7-11 causing a scene.
His story:
Cops show up and are just asking him to leave the store. He refuses to leave and they say, if you don't come out we have to taze you.
His brilliant response:
?F- you taze me!?
To which they obliged then hauled his ass to jail.
As far as I know he has been clean and sober since that last event. It must be a life changing experience!0 -

You can't warn a cop because you can't resist an illegal arrest and if they are in hot pursuit they can enter any house without a warrant. So no fourth amendment in special cases and if defined as making terrorist threats well you get the picture. You might beat the case but don't try to beat the ride to jail they have absolute authority over you. Unless you are prepared to die.

Two things a Cop tends to forget, the next Cop that comes along usually pays the price for the last Cop that pizzed off the wrong person for the wrong reason.
And secondly, even a moderately competent marksman with a scoped rifle can put one in your ear from two hundred yards.

No, I'm a hunter. Looking back and remembering the times Joe citizen has gone postal and shot some random Cop, it is doubtful they did it for no reason? Logic tells me it is likely some Cop pizzed off the wrong person and some random Cop paid the price. Some people hold grudges. Statistically, one-three percent of the population are stone sociopaths anyway, conservatively there are over 3,000,000 of them running around the U.S. someplace.
Born and raised in L.A. I come from a family of Cops and Border patrol. Though I bailed on California about the time it changed from a conservative majority to a Liberal majority.0 -

I spent some time in the military, but like I said I'm a hunter. I did most of my sniping with a 105 mm cannon. Though I did and do practice a lot with a rifle and handgun. I hunt a few days a week.
We'll have to agree to disagree, I think most of the random shootings of Police officers are grudges. They may not be able to find "the" Cop so they settle for any Cop.0 -

Grudge killing of cops is off topic too but is political so you see I posted with a past quote. There's been a lot of cop's blood spilling on the streets for perceived politics. Getting Tazed by cops is the real meaning of this thread I supposed but it did kind'a drift didn't it.?
