It?s hard to top a spokesperson like R. Lee Ermey. Unfortunately, Gunny?s tour of duty came to an end almost exactly a year ago. Now, in a stroke of marketing genius perfection, GLOCK has signed on none other than Chuck Norris ? yes, that Chuck Norris ? as their new spokesperson. Don't like a Glock, don't buy a Glock.
I own a Glock 22 .40 cal. Primarily because it shares mags with my Kel-Tec Sub 2K. That was why it was purchased.
I like it.
It functions every single time. Every single time.
My two 1911's do not. Guess which one gets carried?0 -

I own a Glock 36. I like it okay. It functions flawlessly every single time. Every. Single. Time.
Most of my nine 1911s do also. My many revolvers also function every single time. Each and every one of my five all-metal Sig handguns work every single time. Every. Single. Time.
Guess what gets carried almost never? The Glock, because my other pistols work perfectly and they actually have appeal, style and are finely constructed aesthetically pleasing reliable pistols that I like so much better than Glocks that there is zero comparison.

I have S&W revolvers, Ruger revolvers, 1911s (Springfield and Kimber), S&W M&P...and Glock.
All go bang every time I squeeze the trigger. I do not carry based upon style or appeal. I carry based upon how they feel on the body and how they present when drawn.
To me the Glocks point more naturally and I achieve a consistent and comfortable grip with them (exception is the Glock 43 as the grip is too short and narrow which causes me to grip it harder than I need to). The new Glock 48 is my daily carry at this point and I am comfortable with it.
To me guns are just like trucks. Everyone has to test drive them to see what fits them best. Carry what you like...but do carry.0 -
And the .40 Cal is superior to the 9mm or .45 acp...
Or that the .45 GAP proprietary cartridge is superb...

Or that your peanut butter is in my chocolate.
Or that orange vanilla coke is fantastic.
Yes you may feel free to admire and preach love for the glock family of pistols - yes they may work for you better - yes you might be familiar to the development of its architecture and the test trials it has undergone...
Or like most glock aficionados you are simply drinking the cool ade or jumping on the bandwagon.
All may or may not be true but I still am not a fan.
Are folks born glock fans - is it a genetic disorder or is it a lifestyle choice or is there a causal link to external environmental factors during the years when the brain is still developing - is it marketing or advertising or propaganda...
Can we cure folks of glock love - can we pray the glock out of them - have we located the specific genetic defect that allows glock loving...

What ever happened to smiley face slide serrations / culouts on glock pistols???
I believe that there are highpoints and mossbergs and AR platforms that utilize glock magazines - we can keep those - does anybody make a steel 1911 based pistol that accepts glock mags / that would be cool...
I believe there are some all steel glock clones being manufactured - that might be OK

I actually love both 1911s and Glocks. My EDCs are Glocks but whenever I hit the range I run a few mags thru my 1911s. I won't EDC a 1911 because I don't like having to leave the safety on or remember to click it off... The Glocks are just "point n click."0 -
No matter what you like. Having Chuck Norris as your add man wont hurt. Glock will never win any beauty contests for style. At the rate they are sold there must be something good folk see in them...

I recall the days when the Colt AR-15 was hated by many as a cheap plastic toy gun.
Now, nearly every firearm mfg makes an AR style rifle and it's owned by a majority of firearm owners.0 -

I have to agree. When I visited their site in Georgia I brought 3 pistols with me. They did a quick overhaul and installed night sights for what I consider a very reasonable price.0
