I enjoy shooting my .300 blk...it's my primary HD gun. Get your self an FDE Radian or BCM Gunfighter charging handle to differentiate. I mark all my .300 mags with blue painters tape.

I'll check out those two charging handles. Blue painters tape on the magazines? :o Why didn't I think of that? So simple.

    Mark nice set up

I was putting together 5.56 rifles and pistol had no desire to expand to another caliber but gave in and built a 300 rife and pistol
I use two different color mags black and the tan color to make a easy way to tell at a glance also used 300 laxer engraved trigger and dust covers on the guns , blue tape was a good idea so simple I guess I just over thought the concern :?
I keep saying that's it on adding more calibers it but the 458 seems to be calling
and I also started keeping the 300 pistol as a HD firearm handy

Mark i have a question. I have a 556 SBR and from my understanding it can not have a vertical grip.

I was under the impression that the grip had to be a 45 degree angle instead of 90 degree.

Which is right? I personally want the 90 degree on mine if it is legal.

You can put whatever you want on a SBR,....you are talking about the 'rules' for a pistol.

The issues with the vertical front grips apply to the "pistols" which use a brace. Pistols cannot have vertical front grips, otherwise they become Any Other Weapons. Pistols can use an angled front grip. I have "heard" that if the overall length of these pistols exceeded 26 inches then they can have the vertical front grip, but I am unsure and would prefer not to take any undue risks.

Pistol with brace and angled front grip:

I have seen it often discussed on in gun groups on facebook that if the OAL of an AR pistol is over 26" then it becomes just a firearm (no longer a pistol) and can legally have a vertical grip. But I have not read any specific ATF literature. I believe they fall under the same loophole in descriptions that allowed the creation of the shockwave style shotguns with 14" barrels and the long grip that makes them a firearm rather than a SBS or a pistol.

Thats right i got mixed up. I have a two 556 rifles and 1 556 pistol. I got them confused. I have the angled grip on my pistol.

For some reason i got the SBR and pistol mixed up and thought they were the same. Which they are not.

I just did not want anybody to make a mistake and get in trouble. Thanks for setting me straight.
