Blizzard in progress

No travel in the state of South Dakota due the blizzard conditions. Some areas projected to have in excess of 24" of snow and winds of 45 mph.

Interstate 29 and interstate 90 are closed for travel.

Government office and most business are closed.

Yup ~ that's what happens when Mother Nature implements "climate change" ~ :lol::lol::lol:

    we missed and snow or rain here and it is 37* now with 45 mph wind......not sure what the lower early morn temps will do to all the trees and early budding plants

    Speaking of Interstate 90, we drove into Seattle on I-90 back in October and that has to be the roughest interstate in the country. It was bad 4 years ago the first time I was on it but now it would be smoother if there was no pavement and just a dirt road. I'm really surprised I didn't have a blow out or the front end fall out of the car.

    The snow started Wednesday morning about 8 AM and has been snowing since and to continue until around tomorrow noon. Sometimes can't see the houses across the street. It's a heavy, wet snow and the winds still blows it into drifts.

    Made a drive over to the store and saw no less than 6 stuck cars, 1 stuck pickup and one 4 wheel drive SUV, and 2 stuck semi trucks .. one that was blocking 3 lanes of a 4 lane roadway.

    Only saw 1 snowmobile on the streets. 8-)
