    Pretty sure false reporting to a police officer is frowned on rather hard.

    I can just about imagine the conversation that lead up to that display of wisdom..."Hey, you know what we ought to do?"

    The crime here is the pussification of the American male.

    Apparently one of the pansy-asses went to a hospital because he had a boo-boo on his back.

    There is probably a law against being so stupid as to concoct a story that an unknown person was shooting at them as well.

    My guess is that if you tell an Arkansas copy (one that has resisted pussification anyway) that you were testing out a 'bullet proof' vest, he would tell you that you are an idiot, and send you on your way.

    Did he file a false report? Doubtful. Seems he caved before he had to put pen to paper.

    While I don't see the upside of a personal test of body armor, I really don't see acting like a scared little wimp after you've done it.

    They both look like mental giants, it is fortunate they were not harmed because I am sure they have much to contribute to humanity.

    Mighty shallow gene pool there, not to mention the fact there's some serious, flying blind, **ithouse luck involved as well. Many, many, brands of soft body armor (no plates obviously) would not stop a high velocity .22 round coming out of a rifle at close range.

    Two consenting adults shooting each other. I'm fine with it.

    There is no requirement that he "put pen to paper". It appears that he intentionally reported a crime to a LEO that didn't occur. If folks are going to waste our time, we'll be sure to waste their time by putting them in jail.

    5-54-122. Filing false report with law enforcement agency.

    (a) As used in this section, "report" means any communication, either written or oral, sworn or unsworn.

    (b) A person commits the offense of filing a false report if he or she files a report with any law enforcement agency or prosecuting attorney's office of any alleged criminal wrongdoing on the part of another person knowing that the report is false.

    (c) (1) Filing a false report is a Class D felony if:

    (A) The alleged criminal wrongdoing is a capital offense, Class Y felony, Class A felony, or Class B felony;

    (B) The law enforcement agency or prosecuting attorney's office to whom the false report is made has expended in excess of five hundred dollars ($500) in order to investigate the false report, including the costs of labor;

    (C) Physical injury results to any person as a result of the false report;

    (D) The false report is made in an effort by the person filing the false report to conceal his or her own criminal activity; or

    (E) The false report results in another person being arrested.

    (2) Otherwise, filing a false report is a Class A misdemeanor.
