retail price of a 1970 Lemans is about $5,000 in decent shape.
retail price of a 1970 GTO is about $12,000.
That shell has almost everything needed to "make" a GTO.
Tags, build stickers, paint code decals are worth money to the people that make bogus

Here is a cliiist for a lemans for only $9000. Add the "242" vin plates and code decals,
and some work,you got a GTO that many people won't know the difference.

Oh and an old hotrodded with orginal but modified drivetrain, needing much body work. just sold locally for $10,000.
There are deals out there for every old muscle car made, IF you are willing to do the restore work. If you just know how to wax them, well then you pay $50,000 for them.0 -
