Guy wants a shipping refund, they tried to deliver it today
Its been a minute since I've had this level of goober......so I thought I'd share to entertain you guys. I'm sure all of you know how long it sometimes takes various sellers to get items shipped out. This guy's auction ended on the 31st....it was shipped out TWO DAYS LATER (4/2).....it was out for delivery today, but his store is closed. He sends me an email asking for a refund on his shipping because it was not shipped out the day after he won and paid for the gun. For fun.....I checked his feedback and he has a "C" as a seller because he took a full week after getting payment to ship a gun. So, I just sent him a message....
" Are you SERIOUSLY asking for your shipping refunded because it went out two days after the auction ended.........keep in mind I can see your feedback and you don't seem to hold yourself to any of these same crazy standards you expect of me."
We will see what his response is. I'm guessing he is somewhat brain damaged, so I might have to cut this short and ignore him.

You cannot please everybody. Some folks are just too hard. 0 -
He's still messaging.......my last message to him was....
"Your gun is being delivered SIX DAYS....not shipped, but DELIVERED six days after the auction ended. I have to say that is pretty excellent service and not at all what the normal turn around time is to get an item shipped out."
His reply......"Keep your $45. I am not in the mood to fight with you. II pray for you. "
What a GOOBER!!!! I swear....how on the world do these people walk around with the rest of us without having to wear special "warning" colors to let us all know what we are dealing with is beyond me.0 -
You should always include how many business days after receiving cleared payment you will ship it out so in the future there won't be any questions. Just my opinion
But getting it out two days after receiving cleared payment is quite acceptable in my opinion.0 -
Can you block him from bidding on your auctions?
At least he was nice enough to offer you a prayer.

Sounds like a deadbeat...
Whats his problem?0 -
We have set shipping days as Tuesday and Friday.....but if the postal lady comes super early on Tuesday we will have some stragglers go out on Wednesday or even Thursday. Its hard to ship EVERY day......so I try to stick to Tuesday and Friday for the most part and it says this in our email we send out to the winning bidders. I just think it is funny that a guy that has a C rating for shipping something out a week after he got payment is next level insane for asking for a refund when his item arrived 6 days after the auction ended. 0 -
Kasey, to be honest with you, you shouldn't concern yourself with what he or has done in the past. You should concern yourself with what you do.
As I said in my prior post you should list it in the auction when you ship, and don't wait until you email the winner after they have one.. But then always leave yourself an out by saying "will USUALLY Ship by"... that way if you don't get it out on the days that you have specified in the auction, you still have a way to say "that the shipping company that you use didn't pick IT up on the day I USUALLY ship". So I made sure it got sent out the next day...
Now I know that sounds like I'm advocating that you should lie and blame it on the shipping company. But that's not true, you're not saying that they wouldn't pick it up. You're just saying that they didn't pick it up but you didn't explain why they didn't pick it up.
But I think you really should list it in the auction and not just email the information after the fact that somebody won the auction. That way they know when it will ship BEFORE they win.
This is just my opinion on how you can avoid trouble like this in the future0 -
he is not in the MOOD ??? and still passes fault on to you..cancel his bidding on your sales....life is to short to wallow in stupid...he would never be happy even if his colonoscopy included a FREE salt water and gravel enema 0 -
The world is full of complainers...weak attempt on his part at trying to get a discount after the fact. 0 -
There are many people that will consistently try to get refunds, reductions in costs of all types for a variety of bogus reasons.
Having been in both retail and wholesale businesses my whole life I have witnessed just about any scenario you can imagine related to these folks that seek out ways to get "refunds" or some type of price adjustments after a sale is completed.
It was always one of the most frustrating parts of a sellers job, I do not miss this end of sales at all and am happy I no longer have to deal with the buyers.0 -

This my friends is exactly why I quit setting up at gun shows.0 -
Kasey, I should be so Lucky to deal with a seller who delivers in six days! 0 -
As we say in the South- "Bless his little heart...."

Block ity block ity block block. No more bidding for this one. 0 -
Why block when he paid on time? 0 -
I don?t block people unless they are a real problem. This guy is just a little ?touched? 0 -
I always get a hoot out of folks who try to play the holier than thou stuff. Particularly when I am an "evil" atheist .
These are the people who screw the neighbors wife on Saturday, go to Church on Sunday, and steal your money on Monday. And they think I am the one going to hell.

Kasey is under no legal or moral obligation to maintain a personal or business relationship with anyone once the immediate terms and conditions of an active GB auction are met.
It's an at will business - and her profit margin and investment of personal time and effort may often be more valuable at this point than chasing another nickel or dollar...
She has built her business and reputation and seller status through hard work and dedication - she is much more tolerant of game playing and abuse and poor behavior than most I have dealt with.
She has the right to decline to provide service or be open as a point of sale if she is dissatisfied with a bidders conduct or attitude - and her time and sanity are of higher value than any commodities or profit modalities.
Her record is unimpeachable and speaks for itself.
If a bidder or or buyer does not live up to or adhere to his own published standard of ethics and rules of conduct and is unreasonable and unrealistic in his business pursuits and interpersonal relationships than he not only deserves to be blocked but has begged for it.
Any time I have emailed called Kasey she has responded on time and above reproach - treating me like family or a close friend.
A good business relationship has to on its merits be a good personal relationship - both parties must work together and communicate a meeting of the minds.
The bidder here through his own stated policies and actions is a hypocrite and has not dealt in good faith - so good riddance with him and block him.
Where his fingers broken and was he unable to proactively communicate with calls and emails???
It's a two way street.
You reap what you sow.
A business relationship outside of giant commercial corporations must be earned and nurtured and maintained by both sides.

You can bet the guy tries that on every transaction he Ever makes. And to be a hypocrite with special conscience, is that, special.
I think that we only see some of the interesting transactions that Kasey wants to share. And then on a daily basis does a genuine service for sellers as well as buyers, and keeps Her sanity on a level playing field. Definitely has Better patients than I.
Keep me feeling good that I am not "That guy".0
