We had one of a similar tone in the local paper. Part I really liked was "In lieu of funeral services, friends are invited to our place on the river for drinks and remembrances on Saturday, where at dusk Bob's ashes will be fired over the river from his favorite cannon."

Just like the idea of having a FAVORITE cannon......

There is a considerable difference. He was "actual," a real person and documented in his local newspaper, where you are merely an internet presence, like most of us here. ;)

    Jim

You might be an internet robot, but not me, I'm a real person. But at least we know now that you're not a person, so everything you post has got to be fake
    ;)

[Tim led a good life and had a peaceful death - but the transition was a bitch. And for the record, he did not lose his battle with cancer. When he died, the cancer died, so technically it was a tie! He was ready to meet his Maker, we're just not sure "The Maker" is ready to meet Tim./quote]

Classic line -- seems the author of the obit is just as much a character as Tim
