Rather than calling this move stupid, how about espousing your corrective measures to (1) force these three GUILTY countries into stopping hoards to come to our border (2) Stop the waves of humanity heading our way and (3) protect our Sovereignty as a nation. 0 -

What does the US do to illegal migrants from these countries that enter the US?
It seems Catch and Release is still a big part of our policy. Are we stopping these folks from continuing to Canada?
What procedures do we have in place to stop Americans from leaving the country in search of a better life elsewhere?

Seems to me that if we are interested in individual liberty, we would not want governments to imprison their populations. We did not support it during the Cold War stand-off in Europe and I do not see supporting it now. That is not to say that we should allow any of the these people into our country, but I am just a little uncomfortable in supporting measures that insist other countries hold people against their will.0 -
Don, I am all in favor to people being able to move to a land they desire to be in freely choosing to go there. I am dead set against illegal invasions of unknowns into any nation.
I am also vehemently against these people coming here and telling us we need to change to accommodate their ways and customs, for the love of Pete they abandoned those ways when they left their native cesspool. By allowing this mess to continue unabated since 1964 we have a nightmare. That nightmare is the way it is because Congress wants it that way.
America was founded (mostly) by white Christian Males with a God given vision to make this land better for all regardless of Race, Color, Religion or Origin. It is not my job to allow some rag headed broad keep her rag on her face for a drivers license picture. She is free to be here and drive, I don't want to see her imprisoned as she would be in her homeland. I also demand she conform to American standards, not the other way around.
I am also in favor of turn about it fair play with immigration laws. We should mirror other Southern Nation's immigration policies, triple that for Mexico.0 -

How is he defining closing the border? Shutting the door to immigrants only or to commerce as well? Castro showed these bananna republics a great way to dump criminals, mentals, and other miscreants onto our laps. So shutting the golden door till things are sorted out makes sense... The holding cells and border agents are already overloaded with the last caravan. There is no room at the inn.
Commerce on the other hand must go on. Punishing US business interests that rely on legal traffic should not be prohibited. My bet is the president has enough business acumen to make the right decisions.0 -

President Trump has told us that if we just elect a GOP majority in the House, retain the GOP majority in the Senate, and keep him as President in the 2020 elections, they will implement the best healthcare ever.
1. The ACA replacement will be tremendous and beautiful, but they cannot tell us what it is. You do not advertise your plans to the enemy, after all. Just like iswas, the Democrats and the American people must not be told what to expect or they/we will come up with ways to either co-op or thwart it.
2. Controlling the price companies can charge for their products is GOP Capitalism at its finest. Coupled with the greatest Federally mandated Capitalist Healthcare, Federally mandated Capitalist pharmaceutical prices will make the lives or all Americans much better. If only there was a way we could ensure that drugs were available to each according to his needs, and funded by those who have the means. A cutting edge Capitalist concept that only Trump has the business acumen to implement.
If we would just give them the opportunity as outlined by President Trump, it will happen.
