Looks like the easiest safe move ever...have some other poor schlubs do it for you. Smart man.

Have moved mine 4 times now. I have three big ones.

Got them settled into what I thought was their final resting place in 2013 when we moved and settled into our retirement home. Had finished out a 700 sq ft stand alone structure into a really slick man-lair. Swore I'd never move them again, by god.

    Yeah. No.

Storm damage in 2016 with major water leakage that ruined my newly laid wood laminate flooring said otherwise. Moved them to cleanup, repair and lay ceramic wood-look tile, then moved them back and set them up again.

All moving done with a vending machine dolly I bought years ago for that express purpose. Fun and games with me and the help of a friend or two...hauling was done in a stock trailer.

    What a charlie-foxtrot.

Glad yours is settled in and hope it can remain right there.

    OK :

Nice safe : Just not big enough !

So , Why take the door off the hinges ??? Just pop the hinge pins out !!! Smarter move ....

    Thanks !!!

    Good move.

I remember muscling mom's piano around during moves when I was a strapping young man.

Wouldn't even consider trying such idiocy today.

Looks like it went as smooth as it could. That's satisfying. Hope the rest of the move went as smoothly.

I put an ad on clist and paid a couple of guys $10 per hour to muscle mine down the stairs and into the moving van. Well worth the cost.

Just moved 3 myself. Well, my wife stood by to call 911. They were 990#, 1300# & 2300#. I removed the doors on the heavier 2 by lifting them off the hinges with a jack. Rolled the 1 without wheels on pipes. Used a come-a-long to pull them up ramps onto the trailer. The tricky part was hoisting them off the trailer with a back-hoe. Then they were pulled up 2x10 ramps into the house with a come-a-long. Now only friends & members here know (oops.)
