Who Knows Motorcycle Carbs?
I have the carb off on a little Suzuki GZ250 street bike.It had set in a barn and not ran for about 7 years.I disassembled the carb and the pilot jet was broke off in the carb,but it came out pretty easy with a left hand drill bit.I tried to see the jet number and it is either a 12.5 or a 17.5. With all the knowledge in this bunch I would think someone on here would know if a 2 cylinder, 250cc engine would take a 12.5 or a 17.5 pilot jet. I was a little surprised to find that jet broke from the factory.I am pretty sure I am the first one to take the carb apart because I bought it from the original owner and he has no clue what a carb is or what it does.

I have bought lots of carbs for all types of new and old small gas engines and had good luck so far. eBay and Amazon can sometimes be your friend. My last order from Amazon was for 3 Briggs updraft carbs for old cast iron engines. 3 carbs for less than $60.00 delivered with free shipping. Just one of those carbs from Briggs was $159.00 plus tax. Yes they are made in China, but they work.

I cleaned the carburetor on my little Honda trail bike that had been sitting for a few years. I soaked it in carb cleaner overnight, blew it out with compressed air and put a new carb kit in it and reinstalled it and it still didn't run right. So I took it back apart and dug out my ultrasonic cleaner and put it in there for a few cycles and that took care of it.
Evidently there was still some junk in it that the carb cleaner didn't remove but the ultrasonic cleaner did because when I reassembled it the motor ran great.

You might try fleabay , they have an amazing amount of obsolete parts on there 0 -
When you order the new jet make sure it is anything but Dynojet. They have some goofball reason for using different size numbers on their jets. Where your Zuk takes a 17.5, they're gonna' call it something like 19.5 or even 21. 0
