I have stupid dreams. I can only remember them for a few minutes after I wake up.....but when I do wake up I'm typically wandering around thinking "what the heck" for the few minutes that I am not quite awake.

I know last night's dream had something to do with one of my friends and a salon of some kind. I was trying to buy a hair removal device of some kind.....but the salon was being run more like a vape shop than a store I would actually do business with and I was pretty frustrated.

So I'm pretty thankful I can't remember more of my silly dreams.

I dream a lot at night.
One crazy thing is in almost all my dreams, things don't make sense.
Always like if an old friend is in the dream, he/she is NOT in the right place or time frame of my life.
IE.... A high school buddy who I haven't seen in 40 years would be at my farm in Tenn. 5 years ago.
    :o
A person that I seen yesterday would be at the dragstrip with me during 1984. 8-)

I did once see a shrink about my dreams......he asked me to leave before my hour was up.....
    :o:D

Virtually everyone dreams, if not everyone. Despite Freudian theories dreams have little meaning. They appear to be the brains way of running a systems check. While stresses of the day and even long ago may appear along with deep fears, they bear no portent of the future. Dreams occupy about as much time as real life, but it seems none last more than minutes before changing story lines. I have been aware of dreaming driving down a blacktop road, turning on to a dirt road which became a two track between small trees and then I was walking down a path in a forest. Never got where I was going.

I typically can't remember my dreams, or I remember just little tiny parts of them......
I went to the Doctor a week or so ago and she put me on a very low dose of Crestor for Cholesterol.
I've been having very vivid and very weird dreams!!!!

Agree GG, though not as often anymore, there are things that tend to make a return visit at the most inopportune times. To steal an old adage "If I have to explain, you wouldn't (and couldn't) understand."

    Question #2...
    Do you dream in color???

    I rarely do.
Just sometimes one object or thing is in vivid color.
Worst thing I dreamed in color was I was standing in a bar, drinking my vodka, when a hold-up
man shot at the bartender and hit me in the arm. I saw the bright red blood streaming down my arm.
I pulled my officer's model colt and aimed for his forehead. Never knew if I shot him. :(

My mind never shuts down. It goes 24/7 and has since I can remember. Many nightmares included . The only thing that has changed over the years is that in the last few years I also move in my dreams. I wake up with my fist hitting the head board for example. And with enough force to make my hand hurt from the blows.

It makes it hard to get rest. :(

I also can not get my brain to shut off at night. Seems to be going at 100mph, constantly. Has always been like that. I dream vividly, always in color, (usually) so real, I wake up trying to figure out how I can explain what just happened to those involved. (Disturbing dreams are the most prevalent.)

I try 10 mg. Of Melatonin, and 50 mg of dyphenydramine, with little effect/consequence.

Will usually sleep a few hours, then awake around 12pm-1am, until I get up at 4:30 am.

    It is exhausting.

I think of something nice/enjoyable to help falling asleep.

Do I dream when sleeping ....... I've no idea, I'm asleep and don't remember if I did or not when waking up.

    So ....... MAYBE ??

Yes, every night. I remember most of them.
For instance, last night. It was a nightmare.
Was in a house with an orgy going on in almost every room. A lady was screaming for me to...(well you know).....and I wouldn't. Didn't want to cheat on my wife.

Vividly. I have dreams about people I've known or know in the wrong time periods. Lots of weird siht that would give head doctors a lot to work with. Yeah, some weird stuff... And I just started using a CPAP. And it feels like I'm dreaming even more vividly. Most dreams are forgotten moments after waking up. Some I with I could go back to sleep and continue (time with my parents) and others in which I'm glad that they're only temporary!
