    A certain tipping point will be reached, a decree issued, a right denied, a violation of rights to the extreme. It will start from there. (And progress, like ripples in a pond.)

    Remember Waco, Ruby Ridge, etc. etc. (Heavy handed actions have repercussions.)

    If you watch some documentaries and/or read up about what took place. It will (should) make your blood boil. I know it does mine.

    It won't be legal....a president can not sweep aside the Constitution. Trump in his declaration of a National Emergency is not issuing an executive order, he's issuing a statutory order. His authority in this declaration was given to him by an act of congress, he is using a specific statute. There is no statute that empowers a President to sweep aside a Constitutional Amendment.

    Is that one amendment we had or one they wish they had? When women's rights lost their ratification of Equal rights they just went around it with legalization with the legislature.     A: Yes. In 1981, the Supreme Court ruled in Rostker v. Goldberg that Congress had a reasonable basis to exclude women from the draft because at the time, combat positions were off-limits to women.

    While I'm quite certain the vast majority of members here are 50 and up (57 here), I wasn't speaking so much about chronological age as I was referring to a dying ideology and belief system. The love of liberty and self reliance is dying rapidly among the younger generations. There are exceptions of course, but I would venture to guess they are a small minority.
    I would bet money there is less than ten in the under 50 crowd active on this board, me being one of em. In fact, today is my 35'th birthday. With that being said a solid majority of my friends have very little interest in firearms.

    That's exactly what I meant. Nowadays, the young aren't taught / whatevered the way we were (63 here). So there are fewer likeminded young bucks out there and fewer joining our august crowd. I know that it's an exaggeration to say that most younguns nowadays are more apt to protest a network outage than a gun control issue. Sure, here are those that are 2A but their numbers are dwindling.

    However, DEMOCRATs and their accomplices in the media and academia, will never publically acknowledge your explanation. Instead they use radical Islamic violence as means to implement their anti gun agenda upon all of us.
    Never let a good crisis go to waste.

    The real shame of their anti-gun campaign and agenda has manifested itself in the fact these DEMOCRATs and their minions are flagrant apologists for Muslim violence. These people are far more dangerous to a free society than radical Islam itself.

    When the time comes, there will be way more than 10.

    I believe they understimate the "Us," that is out there. That is a good thing, all in all.

    They keep pushing it, it will come.
