No Church's
They closed up the one near me. Only thing left KFC and the large grocery chains. Since I had chicken on the mind I stopped off at my KFC. Since they're the only fried chicken joint now they seemed kind a busy. Had a young Mexican girl working the register. I thought first day since she had a rough go with the people ahead of me. I had a coupon for 14 piece legs and thighs. She had a rough time with this too. The total came out to $16.30 so I gave her $21.30 (so I could get a $5 note) She tried to give me back the dollar I gave her and I tried to explain so you can give me a $5 bill. A few moments of this I gave up.
So looks like I'll be shopping for grocery store fried chicken.

I feel your pain my yellow brother. I tried to order a burger at Wendy?s a couple of hours ago. I asked for a double with bacon and confusion ensued. The readout said I was getting a combo for $8.50. I tried several times to explain I only wanted a burger and each time she said I was only getting a burger. What about the combo on the readout?? Oh don?t pay any attention to that you?re only getting a burger. I finally told her I was sorry for complicating her life and drove twenty miles back to Arby?s for a turkey sandwich. 0 -

Yosh, it's maddening for sure. When I'm in a similar situation, I don't try to educate them. I simply say, "Just enter 21.30 as the Amount Tendered, please."
When they do, they go all goggle-eyed and want to know how I did that.0 -
If you really want to blow their minds, hand them a $2 bill mixed in with your cash. I keep at least 3 with me to play with the cashiers when I have time to kill.

Do you really think that you'll have a better time getting back to change you want from a cashier in a grocery store? But I digress, you would have a better time getting the change you want back if the cashier was over thirty. But then again it the cashier at KFC was over thirty she would have figured it out too 0 -

The girl at KFC was at least trying. She could've gotten preggers and got on the government teat.
I do have a El Pollo Loco near me but Church's Chicken had deep fried okra and El Pollo Loco don't fry chicken. If they deep fat fry their chicken in 12 secret herbs and Aztec spices I would be there. Basically all I got is KFC or grocery store chicken. If they had Popeye's opening up near me I would make sure they give me an express lane of my own. Hell they'll be yelling my name as I entered like Norm from "Cheers".
I got to try Walmart chicken but I'm usually in and out of there before they get the fryer hot. I think the first batch pops out 10:00/10:30?0 -
wife stopped by mickey dees on the way back home from a larger town and got one of their new burger with bacon to bring back to me....geez when i got it out of the bag it was the diameter of a coffee cup and it had little strips of bacon on a burger patty you could read a newspaper thru slobbered with lots of the add on cheapo stuff..... and it took a $5 bill and change... first and last 0
