Dogs Are Special

I had a really terrible day yesterday. My dogs know something is wrong with me and all they are doing now is trying to lick my face.

They know when you are down.

    I prefer a dog over many people I have dealt with in my life. I wish I was able to have one where I live.

    My current dog, is my best friend. Tons of character. Best dog I have ever had.

    I do not know what I would do without him.

    Just something about dogs. They really become attached and are more loyal than most humans. Makes it very difficult when they pass on.

    I had to take my wife to the hospital Monday by ambulance.
    we have 2 german shepherds, 1 is 120# and the other is 65#. both inside dogs as long as we are inside. we will not leave them alone in the house by their selves in case of fire. so they go to their chain and insulated box when we are gone.
    the whole time (they could see)they was getting my wife in the ambulance and while doing the IV thing, I could hear them crying as I was sitting in the car waiting for them to leave
    after 5 hours in the emergency room, (she was stable) I told Kathy I had to go home and give the dogs some water.. they had very little because of being inside dogs
    when I brought them in the house to feed and water them, they went from room to room looking for her, even down to the basement.
    when they couldn't find her the youngest, smallest came and set at my feet and looked at me and wined and wined as the older just set and stared at me
    dogs have more compassion than some people
