Hi Point

I have one Hi Point 9mm that i paid 15 dollars for. It was broken and when i took it apart the magazine release piece was worn out from changing magazines.

I called Hi Point customer service and told them i bought a Hi Point gun and it was broke when i bought it and told them what i needed and i asked how to send it in to get fixed. The lady told me she would send me a box i asked her if i could just change the parts myself.

She asked if i felt comfortable working on it and i told her yes. She sent the parts and i received them the next day. Plus she threw in some extra springs and such.

Best customer service i have ever seen.

The Hi Point is the only gun i never clean. Just wipe down the outside and put it up. Never jammed and goes bang every time.

    And yet those "cheapie" guns are still looked down on.

    You mean wore out after a relatively low round count and having to be shipped back for repair? :D

    The Hi Points get a lot of heat because they are simple, ugly, and cheap.

    I think that the part that pisses off the brand snobs the most is that the Hi Points just work for the most part.

    A number of years ago I bought a used carbine in 9mm. I shot it some but then started to get some miss fires. I tore it down and found the firing pin was bent. I called Hi-Point and 3 days later I had a new updated one in the mail. No problems after that.

    Two of my brothers bout Beretta Storm Carbines. One in 9mm and the other a .45acp. I didn't like them as they just didn't fit me. I also beat both of them in a shoot out with my first generation Hi-Point. It was reliable and accurate. I just couldn't warm up to the pistols however. Too funky for me, nothing to do with how they function .

    Somewhere, there?s a Hi-Point 45 carbine owner who 1) probably needs some firearms education and 2) has a very effective guardian angel.
    Hi-Point recently posted a couple photos on Facebook, explaining that a customer had sent in a 4595TS 45 ACP carbine, telling them he was unable to hit a target with the firearm. The reason? His bullets were not even making it through the barrel!
    The hapless shooter continued firing ? 34 more times! And the Gun. Still. Would. Not. Fail.
    Then, instead of chalking it up to firearms abuse and saying it wasn?t covered under warranty, Hi-Point replaced the barrel and returned the gun.

    More than one wholesaler refused to carry Hi Point ........ the liability exposure wasn't worth it.

    That is all anyone needs to know IMO.

    Garand Thumb broke a Hi Point slide in half. Pot metal...dropped it while on the range and it snapped in front of the ejection port.

    I was at the range last week with a 955 9mm Carbine. Ugly, clunky but able to pick off clay pigeons at 80 yards one right after the other with open sight.... The trigger really is not that bad either.,..



    What's not to love....the newer generation Carbines look a little better...the older generation looked like a gun from the original Planet of the Apes movie !!! :D
