IF they are, they will be selling clothing. Maybe fishing and camping. There is a sunk cost in selling guns- whether you sell 1 or 1000. When they are no longer "making the nut", that is gonna get cut fast. Shoes- meh- you still want to try those one, instead of ordering on line.
WalMart dropped firearms from the locations that did not sell a lot of guns. Rural WalMarts that DO sell a lot will keep them. Don't think there are many rural Dick's.0 -
Well I for one cant boycott a store I already don?t shop at.
I really dont know what kind of person does their gun shopping at Dicks sporting goods.

There is one close to Dayton Oh that is closing down for good on Friday. I've never been there, so it won't affect me any. 0 -

went into a roberts once...myaybe 30 years ago ???...they were DICKS ....never went back 0 -
A local gun shop had bumper sticks made up that said " Shop at ***** we are not Dick's". Never heard how they made out with new gun sales.

It's been a store where moms shop to buy their kids sporting equipment and will likely remain so. 0 -
Their stock has dropped from a high in the mid $60's to its current level of the mid $30's. On-line retailers like Amazon are kicking them around the block. Around here they're found mostly in malls, which are stagnating. Strictly on life support. 0 -
A DSG opened in town at the height of the Obama Ammo Panic II. I was the first person through the door, plenty of 22, and priced higher than the known-for-MSRP-plus-5% mom-n-pop store that also had 22 ammo in stock.
