I was thinking about a FNX-9. You mentioned having an FNX, ( IIRC in .40), and how well you liked yours. Based on that I went ahead and got one. Thanks for sharing the information about yours. I ran 150 rounds of 124gr hardball and 50 rounds of 124gr federal HST through it today. Ran great, no hiccups and was dead balls accurate. I really like it, lite, accurate, controls are nice, should be easy to carry.
I've bought a few guns based on recommendations from forum members, I've yet to be disappointed. It's a handy thing to get information like that.

I do not own an FNX, I do however own two FNS-.40's. Really like them. One with a hammer, (FNX) would be nice. Congrats on your new handgun.
Really? A Nine? Why not a .40? Better than the .9mm or the .45 cal.

I've actually owned two...a black FNX and a stainless FNX both in .40. They are thoughtfully designed guns, and for the price a killer value IMO. I actually traded the black one for the stainless one with night sights straight trade, the other guy didn't like the stainless. I ended up selling it for something else...but I'll probably pick up another one. Under valued pistols IMO 0 -
I like them so much I ended up buying two in 9mm. I bought one and after a thorough thrashing went "Wow", and stumbled upon another used one and bought it. Both were the two tone/stainless slide.
That grip, however, is cheese-grater harsh, thus I found "Talon" gun grips and bought two different types to see which I liked best. They wraparound and make a big comfort difference. Now if I was jumping out of an airplane and anticipating being covered in mud & blood, the cheese-grater grips might be my best friend, but for daily carry and range time,.......... uhhhhh no thanks.
The one setup has been an every day carry and is holding up fine, the other is handling bedside duty just fine.

It is available with or without a thumb safety.
They also have the FNS Long slide and a compact.
I expect I?ll have one of each eventually.0 -
