Smart Phone Came Flying Off The Car In Front Of Us...
We were driving on Hwy 85 near Senoia, GA yesterday and somebody had left their cell phone lying on top of their car when they got in it. I don't know how far they had driven before it come flying off in front of our car. I just got a glimpse of it as it came flying by and wasn't sure of what it was at first. As we drove along I told my wife "I believe that was a cell phone that came off of that car." So we turned around and went back and sure enough it was a phone. It was an Apple iPhone in an Otter Box protective case. Anybody that carries their phone in an Otter Box will be glad to know they work very well because it didn't damage the phone at all.
I tried to use the phone to see who it belonged to but it was locked. I told my wife somebody will probably be calling the number in a little while and we'll find out who it belongs to then. It wasn't but about 10 minutes later when someone called. It turned out to be the daughter of the woman that lost her phone and my wife informed her of what had happened and gave the girl our address and she came by and picked the phone up about an hour later. She was very happy to get her mom's phone back and said she couldn't thank us enough.
So that ended well for them except for the fact that the girls mother was headed to the hospital where her father had just died. Probably explains how the phone got left on top of the car. She was probably upset and forgot she laid it there.

about 4 years ago I found a smart phone laying next to our car in a parking lot looked brand new not in a case
it was also locked , but some one called a young girl yelling I had her phone ( no crap ) I tried to talk with her to no real use
she hung up and called back a few times yelling I had her phone I tried to tell her what I was doing with it ( I was on the way to the local police station ) about the time I got to the police station and 10 minutes to get some one to answer the door
as the LEO was standing next to me the girls dad called ( also with a India accent ) he was much more calm and reasonable wanted to get the phone
he said he just bought two phones for his daughters and with a hour the one was lost
I told him where it would be even gave the phone to the officer to be verified they had his phone and where to get it0 -
A little over a year ago I was traveling to Indianapolis on I70 and stopped at a rest stop to use the restroom. Upon looking around I discovered a cell phone which I put in my pocket. About 30 minutes later the phone rang and I answered it. It was the the man that the phone belonged too. Therefore he gave me his name, address and phone number. The next day I mailed it to him. 0 -
