Ruger standard or pre 71 Mark 1 grips

First off I think the new forum is working fine even for and old dinosaur like myself. Now my question does anyone know about what year Ruger changed the standard or the pre 71 mark 1 pistol grips from a bakelite type of plastic or rubber to a just plain ole thin type of regular plastic. Any info is always appreciated. Terrill
