Heater day.
Get to run home and wait for the UPS to show up sometime today with my Heat4Les$ heater. Going to stand by the door with a bottle to pee in so I won't miss the UPS dude knock like a 3 year old before leaving. It's too bad it's getting warm so I won't be able to really test this heater out. Damn global warming.

I put one of those Ring 2 doorbells on the front door, and one on the back door.
Works great. But there is a delay of about 20 seconds between motion detection and notification.0 -

So about the heater. Wish it had dials. Not a fan of digital. A fan speed control. I think the fan speed is kind a fast but I suppose that's one way to warm up a room faster. It does throw out more heat than the one I picked up from Walmart.
So the UPS came a knocking around 1500. Not like the previous driver that use to pop by around 1000. So I guess I'm now at end of the day drop off instead of first one.
A door bell? That's crazy. I'm not going to waste my electricity when most folks got a perfectly good working fist to use to knock on the door.
Yeah them "Ring" doorbell would be wasted on me since I don't have a cell phone.0 -

It's funny how so many snow birds that come down to the FL keys during the winter turn on the heaters more than often, it's like a habit or a state of mind or something. The cold weather up north scares the crap out me, This year we haven't turned off our A/C for a single day as our cold fronts have been very mild. 0 -

I wanna say 1200? Don't know about BTUs but "supposedly" throws out 600? . The price was $199.00 with free shipping. That was odd since at the checkout I recall seeing $20 tacked on for shipping. But I was only charged $199.00 and I go it in a week.0 -

glad the porch pirates did not beat you to it .
I realized i have turned into my dad / mom most of this this winter ( it has been a cold one though ) we have had three electric heaters and a pellet stove running 24/7 and the propane furnace kicking in to make up any difference to keep the house 74 consistently down stairs .
flip side my bed room upstairs has no direct heat I sleep better when cool to cold but on the days when it went below 20 degrees I added in a electric heater .
has any one said getting old sucks lately :shock:0 -
So this weekend I get to fire up the heater long enough to cook off the new electronic paint burning smell. 0
