Winter isn't letting up yet
Been snowing since early morning and windy too. Supposed to continue thru the night then let up but wind to blow pretty hard .. 25 - 40 MPH.
No travel advised on most roads in the state....and maybe the Interstate closed, haven't checked since this AM when it was no travel advised.
Monday to be better than snow setting in again Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Ah, isn't global warming lovely!!

I retired at the end of January. Bad idea. I've been sitting in the house, pretty much, waiting to get out. If it does warm up, the ground 's too sloppt any way. 0 -

The official weather station said we got 9.1" of snow and now there is more on the way next Tuesday evening, Wednesday and Thursday.
Total for the winter season is just over 60 inches. Snow depth in the yard is between 3 - 4 feet deep.
But they haven't forecast any amount yet into the week so who knows. 90% of the time they are wrong anyhow!
Weather bureau says March is when we get most of our snow.

Tonight and Monday night and Tuesday night will still have low overnight temps below 30?
I expect we have not seen the last fall of snow or flurries or sleet or freezing rain and black ice or even had frosts or multiple day cold snaps
Here at the confluence of the Delaware river and the rancoacas creek a bit north of amico island on the jersey side - north and a wee bit east of Philly
There is another island a bit further up river in Burlington next to the Burlington Bristol bridge
We get odd weather anomalies were storm cells follow or sit on or seem to take energy from the river and creek and island formations
So sometimes the weather in Philly or at the airport is radically different then our little spot
I remember snow fall - significant snow fall like over a foot after Easter when I was in grade school - and it was gone maybe 48 hours later except for the piles around the light poles in the grocery store parking lot
When I was younger and we lived in Lowell Massachusetts (home of Rollin white) we had late spring odd meteorological events as well that I think were waterway related - all I those little paper mill towns
So IMHO we ain't done yet - and that trend seems to be country wide this year
You feedback on my musings is always appreciated

Update: Last snowfall official at 9.8"
Now for the new storm from moving in late tomorrow ... winds of up to 50 MPH and snow amounts around 8"-12" per the weather service from Wed evening, Thursday and ending early Friday around 2 AM.
Should be interesting.

I woke up to 3" of fresh snow and still coming down this morning. Had some wind, too, but that seems to have died down. Everybody around here is whinin' about the snow, I just look at it as more water to fish in come summertime and Lord knows we sure need it to fill the reservoirs. Some of them around here haven't been full in years. 0
