What happened to beautiful guns???
It seems the days of nice wood and metal are gone, for the common man. Replaced by synthetic crappola. If you do want a nice firearm, made of steel and wood, you better be prepared to pay for it, or look for an older firearm.. Gone are the beautiful Marlins, Winchesters and so on. All you see are these plastic AR-15 style guns at the shows or in gun stores. I don't like the looks of the Henry rifles, but they do have some nice reasonably priced firearms. Any others that are still reasonable and nice looking?????? The one gun I was looking at, was another 257 Roberts, made by the Montana Rifle company, but they stop producing it in that caliber. Oak

I remember one plastic gun that I liked...well, actually it was nylon. The Remington Nylon 66.

i am still looking for the neat ol cowboy single action that had 8-10 shots 0 -
and the nylon 66...supposed to have the fastest cycle time...have a brown and a black/chrome one........just don't leave em in the sun 0 -

Are you referring to the old High Standard Six Shooter with the stag grips in .22 LR? Those were "10 shooters" if my memory serves me correctly. If so, that was one of my favorite revolvers growing up and I just sent it down to a nephew in California a few months back.

Actually they were 9 shot double action. The High Standard Double Nine is the first handgun I shot as a kid. I inherited it from my uncle and it's still a good old shooter.0 -
