I had really been trying to remember this distinct gun, of course my dad had one for a while when I was a kid. He had some cool guns over the years. I swear he would have considered this more practical than a Glock 17.

This is a Wildey Survivor in 45 Win Mag.
There?s a few on the auction side now but not for me.

  I've only managed to fire two over the years, one an LAR Grizzly, the other a Super 14 Contender. The LAR wasn't bad at all for recoil, being semi-auto and heavy, but the Contender, having a wood grip, had a pretty good bite to it.

  I have an AMT Automag IV in 45 Winmag. Lots of fun.

  The "What Happened" with these guns is most of them didn't work.

  I wonder if the new one are better? Or at the very least better metallurgy?
