The ads on the right have a British Officers Tunic for sale. I was interested in it and who wore it. I looked the guy up and it is a cool story with a sad ending of a guy who was probably a glory hog and got his men killed in a botched operation.

  BUT how do you confirm THAT tunic was his???
  
  The add on GB states " a Lieutenant ".
  
  For that price you would have to have paperwork proving the owner.
  
  I sold and bought antiques for many years, and the gospel was "you buy the item, not the story.
