Eat me some pink
Been watching Miami Vice DVD?s and it got mt to thinking. I figure to drive down to South Florida with my 8 foot cast net and catch me a flock of them pink flamingos. We don?t have anything like that around here in SE North Carolina and if I keep em pinned up for a month or so they might stay here on the property or at least close by. They sure are purty and I bet they would fry up nice.

Wonder if they taste like chicken or duck or turkey? 0 -
Back in my Backpacking days, with my Prior Service Army Buddies up North, when we would get out almost every week, year round for about 8+ years running.
I managed a very large specialty Outdoor Adventure store. I had access to Pro-deals in order to buy high end gear at or below cost. Quite often things that were no available to the general public.
I purchased a couple six packs of small (6" tall) inflatable Pink Flamingos and Palm trees, that would plant in to the ground on their own stakes. My Army Buddies always threatened them with Violence. I know they liked them though. We all (well at least I did) think they were hilarious scattered around camp.

Well, first off, I just gotta leave your title alone!
May I recommend you and Grasshopper get together.
His Possum and your Flamingo would be a great surf and turf dinner!!!

Ricci, your post reminds me of one of my favorite old movies! "The Freshman" stared Mathew Broderick and Marlon Brando aka The Godfather!
When it comes to fine cuisine, the ultra rich do not care about taste or appearance of a dish. They just want to eat stuff that is on the endangered species list and will pay mucho for it!! Funny movie and your idea of poached Flamingo may not be quite an endangered critter, but hey! Neither was the Komoto dragon in the movie! If you advertise your picnic at 50K a plate, if only one person shows up ya done made your cookout a great success!
Oh, and Ricci, if you move your herd of flamingos to N. Carolina you will need to keep them fed with those brine shrimp containing carotene. That is what makes them PINK.0
