Does ANYONE make a so-called "smart" phone with a plastic screen?

  As you sure? Plastic screens don't do well for touch screens applications. I believe the S9 has a glass screen.
  
  You could test it by hitting with a ball peen hammer. If it spider cracks, it is glass.
