  Blame all I guess, but somehow we managed to be a country full of immigrants who ostracized their own family for marrying outside their nationality into a country that got along fairly well and built the most industrialized prosperous nation on the planet while trouncing "evil" across the globe and then we morphed into this sag busting vile mouthed hatred spewing divisions. Hell even during the Civil War the troops tended to trade among one another.
